The Solid Foundations Information and Communication Grade 4 Teacher's Guide aims to introduce Namibian learners to the field of Information and Communication in an accessible, interactive and practical manner. The Teacher's Guide is based on the latest Ministry of Education syllabus for the subject which aims to give learners both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in finding and utilising information in the modern era. The Teacher's Guide provides teachers with activities, information and lesson plans, ensuring that teachers from all over the country including rural settings can still teach certain aspects of the subject.

The Solid Foundations Information and Communication Teachers Guides for Grade 7

The Teacher's Guide combines both activities catering for schools with access to resources such as computer labs, and functioning libraries as well as schools without such resources. The Teacher's Guide includes the following features: clear, easy-to-read text lesson plans an introduction to every theme practical activities that encourage creative and aesthetic awareness and allow learners to experience the various topics in a fun and interactive manner addresses current event and issues in Namibia (at the time the book was written) group work projects, case studies, brainstorming sessions and discussions to allow learners to work cooperatively and constructively with others assessment worksheets and revision questions.​​
